SCOPE:
Robotic Manufacture, Frame Design and Build, Pneumatic and Electrical Design and Installation

For the Client to rapidly test a wide variety of robotic tasks quickly and efficiently, they required a modular robotic work cell. The cell was custom designed and built by DCISIV Technologies and delivered within a 3-month timeline.
The cell consisted of:
- 1m x 1m worktable with aluminium optical board mounting surface (25mm hole spacing)
- 2 x Dexter HDI Robots built by DCISIV Technologies
- 1 x PLC with 30 discrete I/O: 16 IN / 14 OUT
- 1 x Surface Pro Laptop with Configured Software
- 1 x 53dB Air Compressor
- 1 x Pneumatic valve terminal for up to 8 individual vacuums (or 4 double-acting cylinders)
- 1 x M8 sensor input block for up to 8 x 3-pin sensors
- 2 x E-Stops

To capture a portion of the Global Market for initiating systems, the Client needed to build a greenfield plant in a foreign country.
Most of the equipment for the plant was built and commissioned in Australia using local expertise.
DCISIV Technologies formed part of the project team and worked in close partnership with the Client, Downey Engineering, 5th Dimension Design,
and Toolshop Engineering to organise, assess, build, commission, and ship Initiating Systems Equipment for the site.
The project required strong communication and organisation with multiple vendors to achieve the required outcome.

DCISIV Technologies have been helping a Client on their path to automating the assembly of their PolyCell. Several ancillary stations have been designed, prototyped, tested, and revised by DCISIV to eliminate risk, and at the same time work with their budgets.
The entire project comprises a modular assembly cell combining frame building, safety guarding, robotics, rotary positioning, and rapidly prototyped ancillary stations to perform automated operations on parts.
The system utilises 3D-printed end use parts, machined components, and off-the-shelf hardware.
